Allan Rodriguez

Writer/Director

“I’m passionate about two things: hearing stories from as many different people as possible and telling my stories to the rest of the world. I’ve dedicated the latter half of my life to producing Emmy-winning short films and encouraging others to pursue the same venture. With experience from the financial, to the smallest logistics, to the creativity of writing, I’ve walked each path and left breadcrumbs to help others do the same.”

The Story…

While creating videos since I was 9 years old, I've become an award-winning filmmaker, including a notable EMMY AWARD in their category for best short-form fiction film in 2020 (Somnum). I enjoy attending film festivals for narrative films, and I also love working with people making music videos, creating wedding films, making commercials, and more. In 2019 I studied film production at NYU and in 2023 graduated from film production at Northwestern University.

Clover Visuals

Established in 2017, I founded and ran a multimedia video production hub following my freshman year of high school. Since then we’ve produced award-winning commercials, music videos, wedding films, and narrative films consistently and with quality. With storytelling at the forefront, all our projects have adopted a sense of humanity, respect, and excellence for each story that crossed our path.

NYU

After a series of film festival wins, I applied to New York University’s ‘New Filmmakers Workshop’ in the summer of 2019. Despite an acceptance rate of less than 5%, I attended on a full $12K scholarship and studied at the prestigious film school during their summer semester. During this program, I would come to create what would later win the 2020 Short Form Fiction Emmy, my film Somnum (Sleep).

Northwestern University

Though I only spent 3 short years completing my 4-year RTVF (Radio Television and Film) Degree, I made the most of every second. I was blessed to have the opportunity to work on several projects from positions ranging from P.A. to cinematographer, and eventually producing and directing several projects. I was able to direct my first feature-length film project, Undying, along with the fantastic Non-profit organization Applause for a Cause, and even pursue a senior thesis project, Two Flares Up, which is set to release in early 2024. The most rewarding part however, will always be serving as president of one of the largest student run film production companies in the country, Studio 22.
